THE CADETS AT TRENTHAM.

The General Headquarters school 1 for secondary school 'cadets concluded yes. terday, and those taking/part left for their, homes with every. evidence_ of having benefited greatly by their fortnight's voluntary training. . The sports programme,. arranged fpr the final, day, ai-ous'ed, keen competition. In their, gumes, as well as in training, the cadets showed.great enthusiasm. The inter-dis-trict championship, covering, cricket, shooting, boxing, physical training, and athletics,, was, won by Auckland. The final winners were :— ' Auckland, 149; Canterbury, 1374! Wellington, 1134; Otago, 94. At the. Athletic -sports lieutenantColonel Powles was handicapper and Captain ' Brooks referee. . The results were as follow :— ■
