The Northern- Wairoa- Racing Club's Meetiug was held to-day in fine weather, and the course was in''good order-. The totalisator handled £9955 —a record. Results :—

Finlayson Handicap, of 5p soys; one mile.—Wniznni, 8.0 (Goldfinch), 1; Lombardy, 8.0, 2. The only starters. Time, lmin 50 2-ssec.

Northern Waivoa Cup, of 125 soys; one mile and-a quarter.—Lady Energy, 9.0 (Tinker), 1; Gatherer, 8.3, 2; Blue Cross, 9.5, 3. Also started: Tom Moore 7.0, Lady Glen 7.0, Royal Prince 7.0. Gatherer ]ed into the straight, but Lady Energy passed him half-wqy down arid won by a bare length. Time, 2min 13 4-ssec.
