MATTERS OF MANAGEMENT.
A. meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union — tho first of the .year—was held last, ovening. Mr. W. Hbr'nifr presided, and there were present Messrs. H. Biick. .7. Griffith?, K. Jackson, and J. W. Millard.
The secretary re)K>rted that the sura of £195 was available for distribution to clubs as ;> result of the Poneke v. Petone match. Ponoke and Petone take 25 per cent, each, after a reduction of £20 for •tlio injured players' fund, which was becoining depleted, the balance being distributed between -the oilier senior clubs equally- for gymnasium purposes. Tlio .( ticket Association inquired whether the Athletic L'aik would be ■available next summer, li ,\vas stated that tho "round would be available, and the association would be advis.v.l of the position of the jrround-al a Inter dciin.
A fence in to be erected at. tlic northern bank, and will *ervo the sumo purpose as that at the southern bank as a shelter for Spectators.
It was resolved to procure 15 representative.;'caps fur the schools and 20 representative cans for iho senior reprefcntativoi.
