THORNDON CLUB'S COMPETITION.
The second race of a competition being held during the season by the Thorndon Amateur Swimming Club was decided at Te Aro Baths last evening. The event was a 100 yds handicap, and a keen contest resulted as follows:—0. Sheehy, 4sec, 1; J. Garrett, scr, 2. Also started : J. Miles 19sec, B. Brian lOsec, F. Desmond 9sec/ H. Desmond Bsec, J. Johnson ssec. Won by .a yard. On Tuesday next Inhere,will .be a 50yds handicap. '* "'
