WELLINGTON CLUB
Members of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Club and their friends assembled in large numbers for the club's official opening on Saturday. In opening the season, Mr. F. Grady (vice-president) regretted the absence of the president, Mr. X- W. Brown, who was out of the Dominion. He thanked all those who had helped to paint the pavilion and' repair the fences. With tl'.e visit of the New South Wales team and the Davis Cup matches, New Zealand was going to have a feast of tennis this year. He wished the club a successful season. Afternoon tea was served during the day, and a number of ,games were plnyed.
