(BY TELEGRAPH.—-PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NELSON, This Day., There is a-possibility Mini Nelson will yet have an astronomical observatory on the- Port Hills, near BishopdaiC. The Yale University has large funds earmarked for an observatory somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere;. Mr. F. p. Gibbs brought, before ihe Yale authorities the advantages offered by Nelson, and received a, reply from the Director of the Yale Observatory that ho is greatly interested in the information given, ar-.rl that the chanco oi establishing an observatory here is certainly good enough to warrant considerable trouble i:i the collection of meteorological data. The Cawthrcn trustees are willing to allow the site on the Port Hills selected by Mr. Evershcd to be used.'
