PONEKE FOOTBALL CLUB
• The annual smoke concert of the Poneke Football Club; twas '-held in Dustin's Rooms on Saturday evening. A large gathering was presided over by Dr. Newman, M.P. The following toa-sr-s were honoured :—"The King" andthe '"Poneke Club," Dr Newman; "Fifth Class Team," Mr. B, Sim; "The New Zealand and the Wellington B,ugby Unions," Mr. D. M'Kehzie; "Our. Opponents," Mr. A. Griffiths; "Kindredl Sports," Mr. B. Magee; "Referees' Association ajid St. John's Ambulance," Mr. O. Mitchell; and "The-Ladies," Mr. A. Power. Musical items were given by Messrs. W. P OaJcinai, Blackie, 'Edwards, D. Algar, J. East. H. J. Simpson, R.-Coole, Ai, Power, J. Duncan, and) J. Elliott. Mr. C-. Parson, was the ac companist.
