MEASLES ON THE INCREASE

The staffs of many, business establishments throughout the city and suburbs appear to be affected by the. prevailing sickness, notably in the contraction of severe colds, and many of them are working short-handed in consequence. Measles appears to be on the increase. Yesterday and to-day an additional 20 cases were reported, making 65 for the week, as compared with 42 notifications for the whole of last week. This week's notifications so far also ineVude 8 cases of diphtheria, 4.0f pneumonia, 2of influenza,, 1 of cerebro spinal meningitis; l'of enteric and 1 of infantile paralysis.
