FREE TEA
"A pound of tea, please!" These words must have been repea-ted hundreds of times at the Victory Store, Courte-na-y-place, yesterday, but, contrary to .the usual result, the proprietors did not' reap any apparent profit from their extensive dealings. In fact, by 6 o'clock in the evening they had seen the last of a great quantity .of tea, and their tills were no richer. This rush for tea is explained by an advertisement which appeared in the Evening Post intimating that.p pound of,'tea would be handed gratis to anyone- caring to visit the stow. Arrangements have also been made to supply tea tn those who send word that, owing to sickness, they arc unable to leave their homes.
