INTERESTING DISPLAY
An attractive display of medals and trophies won by the champion hurdler, H. E. Wilson, together with an interesting collection of. views of athletic events in New Zealand, England, and France, is now being made in th* window of Messrs. Harrington, Ltd., Willis-street. The photographs, enlargements from other prints, furnish splendid proof of the capabilities of the New Zealand Army Athlelic team, but more particularly show Wilson contesting the various events in which his performances brought him into world-wide fame as a champion hurdler and sprinter. The trophies, and the inscriptions, provide further evidence of his success, while their design, value, and general magnificence form some material indication of the support which is accorded athletics at Home. Tht> outstanding feature of the display is a massive silver rose-bowl, *he first prize for a 100 yards flat event in England, and a fine picture of AVilson vanning the race is also shown in the window. Valuable gold and bronze medals of uninuo design are not the least interesting articles exhibited. Such a display is opportune, in view ot the fact that the sending of a team to compete at the Olympic Games is now under consideration.
