VERDICT OF MURDER POLICE SEARCH FOR HARRY DEELEY A RAZOR-CASE FOUND. (BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) ' PALMERSTON N., This Day. The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Mary Etheline Webby, who was found with her throat cut on the morning of 18th March, in a lane between Ruahine and Fitzroy streets, was concluded this morning. Evidence was given by Constable Hooker and Detective-Sergeant Quirke that the body when found was lying on its right side, with loft arm across the body, and one hand holding a hand- I bag. A bottle of ale unopened was j lying at the feet. The bottom half of a razor-case was found lying close by the body, but there was no sign of a razor or other instrument that could have caused the wound in the throat. There was no sign of violence, except the injury to the throat. Search has been made for Harry Deeley, who had not. been seen since he was observed in deceased's company on the evening of 17th March.

Evidence was given by George Frederick Deeley, brother of Harry Deeley, that the portion of a razor-case was the property of his brother, and that the name) "Edmonds" on it was that of Francis ' Edmonds, brother-in-law of Harry Deeley.

Francis Edmonds deposed to taking the razor to get it set for Deeley and giving his name, Edmonds, to the shop girl- ... . •
