SLAYING OF MACCURTAIN
SEQUEL TO EVENTFUL MEETING. (Received March 31, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 30th March. It i« rumoured in Cork that there was «. meeting of the Irish Republican Brotherhood just before the murder of the Lord Mayor (Mr Mac Curtain), and that Mr. Mac Curtain was present. Several, members are said to have been expelled, apparently because they were unwilling to continue the policy of murder. One of the expelled members jwas shot after leaving the meeting, and~Mr. Mac Curtain's death is attributed to f similar' cause.
