ANOTHER "EXECUTION"
MAN SHOT AT HIS DOOR MURDERS IN TIPPERARY. (ONIIED PRESS ASSOCIATION COPIRIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN - NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received March 31, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 29th March. Armed men, with blackened faces,, shot dead Thomas Dwyer, aged twentyfive, in a house in Thurles. This is the third murder in Tipperary in three days. Dwyer was a. publican, and his brother is a priest in an Australian mission. His sister, Mrs. Delaney, asked the knockers through the keyhole who they were. "Friends," was the reply. "Is Tom inside';" Mrs. Delaney replied, "He's not here." The knockers broke down the door. Dwyer, who had been asleep upstairs, came down and met five men with rifles. One covered his sister with a rifle, and the rest fired at Dwyer, who fell riddled with bulleis. As he lay on the ground one of the assailants asked him ii he had had enough. Another said, "Give him another," and a final shot was fired into his body. _one of the murderers then asked Mrs. Delaney, "Is there any one else to be shot?" and left, slamming the door.' They fired further shots outside, apparently for the purpose of causing general terrorism. Almost simultaneously an explosion in the house of Richard. Small, who is a poor .law guardian, wrecked the front of the- shop.
Thurles has been the scene of several murders in recent months.
