A HOME-LIKE WELCOME

Returning soldiers, it is well known, do not appreciate formality of any kind. What they do appreciate, however, is the opportunity of spending some time with their relatives and friends, and the ladies associated with the Returned Soldiers' Club are out to give them this opportunity. They have arranged to welcome all returning men at the club, which will be kept 'open day and night, and to provide refreshments for them, their next-of-kin, and friends. This arrangement will no doubt be welcomed, particularly by those men who are waiting here for trains and boats to convey them to their homes. One of the ladies connected with this work said to a Post reporter to-day that it was very heartbreaking to see the returned boys wandering about the streets with little to interest them. It was felt that the new arrangement would fill a- long-needed want. All the refreshments will be provided by the ladies.
