ST. PATRICE'S DAY CELEBRATIONS

Mr. A. M'Phee has been appointed judge of the national dancing events, and Mr. W. G. Callendar, manager of the Returned Soldiers' Club, will act as starter at the St. Patrick's Day Sports at Newtown Park. The children taking part in the spectacular physical driU display will also form the figure of the harp, one of the national musical instruments of Ireland. As displays like this are of rare occurrence in Wellington, they should attract a large attendance of the public. Ono thousand children will take part. The Rev. Brother Eusebius has their training well in hand. The items which Mr. Farquhar Young will ping at the national concert at the Town Hall will be "The Wearing of the Green" and "The Memory of the Dead." Signor Cesaroni will sing* "Mavourneen" and "The Minstrel Boy," Miss Teresa. M'lnroe, "Believe _c," and "Come Back to Erin." The box plan will open at the Bristol on' Wednesday morning.
