KARORI BOWLING CLUB

The opening of the Karori Bowling Club's season on Saturday was favoured by beautiful weather. There was a large attendance of members and visitors,' and many ladies ware present. Visiting bowlers attended from the city and suburban clubs, and some very enjoyable games were played during the afternoon. Mrs. .Horrax. threw the jack, arid the president then declared the 6eason opened! : Afternoon tea was provided by a committee of ladies comprising Mesdames Horrax. Cooper, Bailey, Harper, Caigou, Crawford, and Burn. The tables were beautifully decorated, the flowers being arranged in a club colours scheme. Teams were chosen \by the president (Mr. E. Harrison) and the vice-president'(Mr. Cooper). The .game;'resulted as follows (the president's, team being mentioned first): —Herb/ Most am, M'lntosh, White, 22; Cooper, Cathie, Newcombe, Bolton, 11.
