AUSTRALIAN WOOL CLIP
THE APPRAISED PRICES,
SYDNEY, 17th. August. The statement of the Wool Committee on the purchase of Australia's 1917-18 wool clip shows that 616,969,9281b was submitted for appraisement. After allocating sufficient to meet the requirements of the local manufacturers, the balance of 599,909,9401b, appraised at a va'-io of £39,576,420, was taken by the Imperial Government. The appraised prices were 14.98 d per lb for greasy and' 25.62 d per lb for scoured.
