General Humbert, in an interview, said: "We are now able to foraea how the war will end, but it is more essential than ever that the Allies should force the acceptance of their own terms." It would be utterly futile to, discuss peacefeelers. Frenchmen wore unanimous in this attitude, after their bitter experience of Germany's appalling arrogance, ruthlftssness, and lust for conquest.
