An official message from Palestine states: On. the night of 12th August we raided successfully various points on a ten-mile front astride the JerusakmNablus road, killing two hundred, and making prisoner seventeen Turkish officers and 230 of other ranks. Fifteen machine-guns were taken. On the morning of Bth August the Royal Air Force and Australian units bombed the enemy's camps in the vicinity of the Amman railway station, scoring many effective hits. Ground targets were attacked with machine-guns. The Imperial Camel Corps, co-operat-ing with the Arabs, seiz-ed the Mudawara railway station, killing thirty.fivo and taking prisoner 120. Two guns were captured.
