I WELLINGTON'S MILK

AN IMPORTANT CONFERENCE,

' Yesterday the Minister of Public Health (the Hon. G. W. Russell) conferred with Wellington's Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke), and the chairman of the City Council's Milk Committee (Mr. Norwood) on the question of the city milk supply.

Mr. Russell had invited theso representatives of the municipality to discuss with him the powers already possessed by the City Council in regaixl to milk under the City Milk Supply Act and its amendments (of the years 1910, 1911, and 1914).

The Minister expressed keen anxiety with regard: to the shortage, and referred to the possibilities of the situation.

Eventually it was agreed to adjourn the debate till the committee's report had been brought before the council.
