THE JAPANESE ATTITUDE
REFUSAL TO INTERVENE DENIED
(reuteb's telegbam.) , TOKIO, 12th July. The report from .Washington stating that Japan has declined a request from the Entente Powers to intervene in Siberia on any ground whatsoever is authoritatively declared to be untrue. Japan's attitude has not changed. America's reply onthe subject is still awaited. Air utibfficial report states that in Jaf>an ther».is an almost unanimous feeling that the despatch of troops to Siberia at present is unnecessary.
