ST. MARY OF THE ANGELS.
Long before the hour announced for the commencement of the performance, the Town Hall was filled to the doors last night, the occasion being a concert in aid of the rebuilding fund of St. Mary of the Angels Church. The concert proved a great success. All the items "were of a, high-class character, and were thoroughly enjoyed. Miss Eileen Dennehy, organist at St. Mary of the Angels ■Church, opened with a selection from Wagner's, "Lohengrin," and later played Lemmens's "Finale in A." In both she displayed great taste and executive ability. Miss-Teresa M'Enroe's singing of "Spring's Awakening (Sanderson) *vvas an artistic success, and Miss Agnes Se.grief scored a decided triumph by her singing" of Gounod's "0 Divine Redeemer." Mr. Hamilton Hodge 3 sang "Nazareth" in splendid style, and Mr. Pat. Fitzgerald earned vociferous applause for his singing of Sanderson's "Until. " The "Miserere" duet from "IlTrovatore," sung by Miss Teresa M'Enroo and Mr. D. Ly'le (English Pierrots), was one of the most popular items on the programme, and Mr. Alf. M'Donald's flute solo, was a very line performance. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. E. H. Queree> the piano being lent by the Bristol Piano Company.' The concert closed with the National Anthem, played on the organ by Miss Eileen Dennehy. -
