NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW
The sixteenth of these popular, interesting, and educational shows opens on Tuesday next, with several new features, amongst which are the British Trades Exhibition, organised by Mr. B. W. Daltou, H.M. Trade Commissioner for New Zealand, and an exceedingly fine display of big game trophies from Canada, kindly lent by Mr. James Dunning, of Remuera. Seldom does such an opportunity as this occur for the general public to see such a collection, and it will without doubt iprove a great attraction. The Manawatu Poultry Association has another very fine entry of birds, something like 100 more than last year's 955. Another item which has suddenly leaped into public favour is the sheep dog trial. This, event is' to be run off on Thursday ef next week, with an entry of not less than 44 of the cleverest dogs in the North Island.
