ELECTRICAL STORM
WASH-OUT ON THE RAILWAY.
(BT TBIBGRAPH.—PEESS ASSOCIATION.)
WAIHI, Thi6 Day. An electrical storm burst over the town last night, accompanied by a deluge of rain.
The flood water caused the collapse of an embankment carrying the railway line, followed by a wash-out 12 feet in depth and 40 feet long, about two miles from the Waihi station. It is expected it will take two or three days to effect repairs and restore the usual traffic. The express did not run this morning. Special trains are running to the points on either side of the breaks, the pas£engers transferring from one train to the other. t>
