GISBOENE, This. Day. The Gisborne Racing Club's Meeting opened in fine weather. There is a good attendance. The going is heavy. Results :— ,
' Park Hurdles, of 250 soys; two miles. —Pursefffler, 12.6, 1; Con, 10.3, 2; Kauri King, 10.8, 3. Scratched—Hexton. Won by two lengths. Time, 3min S9sec.
Maiden Hack Race, of 125 soys; four furlongs.—Don Patch, 9.0, 1; General Stephen, 9.0, 2; Principal Lady, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Secret Code, Stutter, and "sfewlant. Won by a neck. Time, 51 sees.
Flying Handicap, of 150 soys; six furlongs.—Gazique, 12.5, 1; Orawai, 9.0, 2; Multifual, 10.13, 3. Scratched: Downham, Persian Prince, Happy Valley, and Ohoreka. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 19sec.
