TECHNICAL TRAINING
Apprenticeship conditions and technical training were considered at the last meeting 6f the New Zealand Federated Typographical Association, when the following motion, passed by the Technical School Teachers' Conference, was endorsed :■ "That the Arbitration Act be amended.in the following directions—(a) To make it compulsory for all apprentices to attend a technical school; (b) to relax , the apprenticeship conditions in favour of those technical school students whose work in a prescribed voca : tional course is satisfactory; (c) no apprentice under 20 years of age to be allowed to work overtime."
