RUSSIAN ADVANCE OF OVER SEVEN MILES
(Received September .18, 8.20 a.m.) -• ; , WASHINGTON, 17th September. The Russian Embassy announces that the'Eussian troops are driving on in the Eiga sector on a wide front, x . Already they have advanced more than seven miles. The Germans retained on the East front are greater than ever before. The Kbriiiloff affair lias Dot weakened the Russians, and militarily their morale is splendid. The CosSack movement is not regarded seriously. OFFICIAL WARNING OF NEW 'ENEittV OFFENSIVE (BEDTEK'S *ELEGftAM.) PETROGEAD/ 17th September. General Valonieff, commanding on. the Russian western front, in an.Army Order, warns the troop's that he is reliably informed that the enemy is intoxicated by his success at Rigii, and is preparing to break through at Dvinsk and Minsk. . . ~ -^
