DULL WEEK-END WEATHER
Fairly dull weather has prevailed, with threatening skies in many parts of the Dominion, and moderate to strong easterly and northerly breezes have ruled. There has been little change in the atmospheric pressure since yesterday. The Dominion Meteorologist (Mr. D. C. Bates) is of opinion that the prevailing conditions will continue, with rain following, especially in the northern and southernmost districts. The winds are likely to increase; easterlies changing to northerlies northward of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura. The barometer, at latest indications, has a falling tendency. It is not anticipated, without some new development, that there will be any very bad weather immediatel^; but there is every probability of a slight change for the worse.
