ARRESTS IN DUBLIN
CITY NOT EXCITED
RELEASED REBELS INCLUDED,
(PUBLISHED IN THE TIMES.)
LONDON, 23rd February.
There have been twelve arrests in Dublin, Limerick, and Galway under the Defence of the Realm Act. These include the following rebels, who were released after the Easter rebellion: — DarreJJ Figgis (author), Dean O'Kelly (a Dublin councillor), George Nioholls (a soldier), the .Coroner in West Galway, and Patrick Thornton (an ex-National school teacher). The prisoners- have been handed over to the military authorities, and confined in Dublin barracks.
The Dublin correspondent of The Times says that the city was not, excited over the arrests, which now total thirtytwo. The majority of those arrested were attached to" the Irish volunteers.
