IRISH DEBATE DROPPED
NOT THE TIME FOR CONTENTION.
(AUSTRALIAN-NETC ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON-, 23rd February. In the House of Commons, Mr. Bonar Law announced that,.the-Iran 1 debate would not be held next week.
Sir George Reid gave notice of motion that in view of the necessity of strengthening the hands of the Allies at this critical stage, the House is unable to discuss Home Rule and other domestic legislation which would unavoidably excite acute differences of opinion.
