HARBOUR BOARD
The Wellington Harbour Board met last evening. The members present were:—Messrs. R. Fletcher, M.P., M. Cohen, R. E. Sinclair, A. M'Farlane, J. G. Cobbe, J. W. M'Ewan, A. H. Hindmarsh/ M.P.. R. A. Wright, M.P., W. Cable, J. G. Harkness, H. L. Nathan, W. T. Hildreth, and C. W. Jones. The Chairman (Mr. C. E. Daniell) presided. . The bank' pass-book showed :—-Current account, credit balance,' £28,316 4s 8d ; imprest account, credit balance, £2914 16s 3d; on fixed deposit, £60,000. Pay^ ments as follows' .were authorised:— Accounts and wages, £19,369' 9s 6d ; progress payments on contracts, £2691 18s 8d; salaries for February, £899 3s 4d; total, £22,960 11s 6d. It was decided to approve of the bylaw increasing the call fee on ferry boats at suburban wharves from 2s, to 3s per call, the amendment to come into operation on- Ist April next.
