■ (IT mEHRAPH.—TRESS ASSOCIATION.) ( '. : .- ; DUNEDIN, Ist February. Tho Government has purchased the residence of Mr. J. B. Watson for use as a, St. Helens' Maternity Home. .The residence is situated in one of the highest parts of Invercargill. • The. situation is ideal for tho purpose. The house is provided with every modern convenience. Two acres of land go with the building. The necessary sum for furnishing the building- 'will be raised locally. Tho Hon. Mr. Russell has. tolegraphed the Southland Hospital Board: that Dr. Valintine Will shortly visit tho Goro district in connection with the proposal to establish a maternity home there.
