WORK OF THE SUBMARINES
GERMAN OFFICIAL REPORT.
AMSTERDAM, 15th August. 'An official message from Berlin states:—"Our submarines in the English Channel sank seven English and three French sailing ships, and three English and two French steamers, between 2nd and 10th August. One of out submarines torpedoed the British destroyer Lassoo in the Channel." The Press Bureau states thai the Lassoo sank a few miles off the Dutch coast, not in the Channel, as the German Admiralty pretends.
