10 THE EDITOR. Sir, —Would it not be as well to let the fact of this victory die out? Sufficient has been written to let the future generations know of it. We are •■ now closely allied with the principal nation, whose fleet was destroyed at that battle. Better let steeping dogs lie, rather than cause unpleasant feelings to that nation.; i—l am, etc., LET WELL ALONE. 12th August.
