THE NEW YORK STRIKE
PRESIDENT WILSON'S MEDIATION
(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received August 16, 1.20 p.m.) WASHINGTON, 15th August. President Wilson asked employers to concede the eight hours principle, and the railwayman ,to waive the demand for tune and a-half pay for overtime. A settlement of the traffic strike on this basis is probable.
