RESERVED JUDGMENTS
Two reserved judgments were delivered by Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court to-day. The first was in the case of A. S. Paterson and Co. v. Jessie Compton, Charles Beaumont, and David William Russell. The claim was for £113 6s, being the amount of indebtedness to plaintiffs of H. Compton, storekeeper, of Ellice-etreet, for goods supplied, and it was founded on a written guarantee executed by defendants on 14th July, 1914, in favour of plaintiffs. A question of partnership was involved in the dispute. After going fully into the matter, his Worship gave judgment against defendant RusselL for £75 1b 4d. Costs totalling £7 3s were allowed. Mr. H. E. Eva-ns appeared for plaintiffs, and Mr. A. H. Hindmarsh for defendants. The second judgment was in the case of the Scott Motor Agency, Wellington, v. Perry and Co., Feilding, for the Tecovery of £41, balance alleged to be due on the purchase of an Austin motor-car and some extras. The claim was reduced £20 by his Worship, and judgment entered for plaintiff for £21, with costs, £3 2s. At the hearing, Mr. E. M. Beechy appeared for plaintiffs, and Mr. H. E. Evans for defendant.
