Trooper Chas. Thompson, a member of the mounted section of the 3rd Reinforcements, died in Wellington Hospital to-day. He was invalided back to New .Zealand from Egypt, arriving here by the Wimmera, and had since been an inmate of Dunedin Hospital. He was on his way to Auckland in search of health, when he was again taken ill, and succumbed suddenly to his sicteess at Wellington Hospital. He will be buried tomorrow with full military honours. It is hoped that as many returned troopeis as are able to do so will attend to pay their last tribute to a late comrade.
