SUPPLEMENTARY VOTES PASSED BY HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. The Supplementary Estimates, which were passed by Parliament last night, contained the following votes : — Under the War Pensions Act, £150,000. Under Miners' Phthisis Act, 1915, £3000. Passages of members (additional), £600. Medical fees on account of war pensions, £100 ; honoraria of members of War Pensions Board (one at £100, six months ; one at £50, six months), £75 ; travelling expenses, £100. Compensation to widow of the late temporary lineman, A. G. Wald, £520; gratuity to S. Leah, postmaster, Eastbourne, on bis retirement, £15. Purchase of patent rights of New Zealand of Nolan's ticket dating press, £100. Services of Mr. C. B. Morison in drafting Land Amendment Bill, drawing series of clauses for Native Land Claims Adjustment Bill, drafting Rating Act Amendment Bill, and drafting West Coast Settlement Act Amendment Bill during the session of 1914, £76. Expenses of National Register, £2000. Additional expenses of by-elections, £600. Amount required to fill the places of officers on leave with Expeditionary Forces, £3700. Cost of repatriating to Samoa 64 natives exiled to Saipan by the German. Governor of Samoa, £500. Cost of administering war risk insurance scheme (additional), £200. Grant to Mr. F. Lawry, late M.P., £100 (additional) ; gratuity to widow of late member of Legislature, Mrs. Laurenson (additional), £300; gratuity to widow of late member of Legislature, Mrs. Bollard, £300; gratuity to W. D. Andrews, late clerk, Inspection of Machinery Department, equal to three months' salary, less amount of pension, £45, payments to retired officers (Messrs. Strauchon, Vickerman, Hogben, and Petrie) acting on Commissions, £279; payment to the Teachers' Superannuation Fund of amount of arrears due by the late Captain J. H. Goulding (killed in action), £96 ; payment to officers of the Public Service for performance of special duties, £500; provisions for petition*, etc., under consideration, £1000. Compensation to 2nd Lieut. F. C. Harris, N.Z.G.A., for injuries received to health whilst on military duty, £103. Commission of Enquiry re Defence stores, £300. Refund of duty on engines and material used in the construction of aeroplanes in New Zealand, £500. Remissions of duty on flour and wheat from 21st October, 1914, to 31st December, 1915 (additional), £1250; remission of duty on oats, from 2nd March, 1915, to 31st May, 1915, and on Algerian seed oats, £250. Procuring and maintaining launch for Wellington surveyors, £400. Road construction : Pnkerua to Pa«kakariki, £50; Paekakariki Hill (£1 for £1), £50. Public buildings : Wellington Defence Headquarters additions, £600. Lectures by Professor Findlay (Manchester (balance of claim), £6 Compassionate allowance to widow of late Thomas Booth Royd Garlick, Director of Physical Training, £300. Subsidy to National Beekeepers' Association of New Zealand (£1 for £1), £100. Expenses of Patent Slip Enquiry, £21. Planting oysters in Cook Strait, £50.
