Local racegoers were looking forward to the North Island j cracks meeting Warstep in the Champion Plate, but Mr. Dalgety did not nominate her or Snub. However, with Chortle, Loyal Arch, Desert Gold. Nones, and others engaged the race will bring together most of the best horses at present in commission in the district. Mr. Coyle's handicaps for the first day's events will be declared immediately after the Masterton meeting.
