PRIVY COUNCILLORS,
QUESTION Otf NATIONALITY, (Received June 24, noon.) LONDON, 23rd June. The King's Bench Division has .granted orders nisi calling upon Sir Edgar Speyer and Sir Ernest Cassel to prove that they aro entitled to membership of the Privy Council. The applicant alleged that neither was born within the Empire, or is of English pai'entagej hence they were incap^ able of belonging to the Privy Council. ["Who's Who" for 1915 states that Sir Ernest Cassel was born in Cologne. Sir Edgar Speyer's birthplace is not given, hut he is a son of Gustavus Speyer, and was educated at Frankfort-on-Main, and is married to .a daughter of Ferdinand, Count yon Stosch.J
