BRITISH CRUISER TORPEDOED
DAMAGE NOT SERIOUS NO CASUALTIES CAUSED. (Received June 24, 2.40 p.m.) LONDON, 24th June. The Admiralty reports that a torpedo struck the armoured cruiser Roxburgh on Sunday night in the North Sea. The damage done was not serious, and she was able to proceed under her own steam. There were no casualties. [The armoured cruiser Roxburgh is a vessel of 10,850 tons and 22 knots, carrying 655 officers and men. She is armed with foui 7.5-inch, six 6-inch, and "twenty small guns, and belongs to the Devonshire class of six ships. She was built ''in 1904-5.1
