HUNGARY AS A NATION
• INDEPENDENCE MOVEMENT. LONDON, 24th December. A Budapest correspondent points out that 137 members of Parliament and seven thousand societies are working | in an independence movement. The people are depressed, and are sceptical of the so-culled Austrian victories. There is a distinctly friendly feeling towards England.
