SIGNIFICANT MOVE BY SEAMEN CONCENTRATING THEIR EFFORTS (BY TELEGRAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST.) CHRISTCHUROH, This Day. In, view of the coming General Election, efforts are being made in Lyttelton to enrol the seafarers, but it is stated the success attending the efforts of those concerned has not been as good as is usually the case. From enquiries made it appears that the seamen and firemen are said to be concentrating their efforts on the Wellington Central scat, which is at present held by the Hon. F. M. 13. Fisher, Minister of Marine, and whoso most likely opponent in December next will be Mr. R. Fletcher. Chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board. It is understood that this move on 'the part of Jthe seafarers will be the means of reducing the voters in Lytteltou by about 200 odd.
