REVIVAL MISSION

The Brainsby Revival Mission services were continued- yesterday morning in the Vivian-street Baptist Church, when Colonel Powley, of the Salvation Army, preached from Hebrews 3-lfj, a sermon on "Full Salvation." In the afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Brainsby conducted a children's service, Mr. Brainsby speaking from the text: "There is nothing hid that shall not be known." A message, he said, that makes the evildoer afraid, but one that makes those who want to do right, brave. In the evening, the service was held in the new Grand Opera House, which was packed by an attentive audience. Before the service began tlie Salvation Army Band marched through the streets announcing the service. In response to many requests, Mrs. Brainsby sang several of the favourite mission hymns. Her singing was much appreciated. Mr. Brainsby took for the subject of his address "Daniel daring to do right." He said many people at the commencement of their career wore often dared to do wrong, with the results that brought to them a bitter experience. He urged his audience to follow tho noble example set them by Daniel. (1) Dare to be true, said the preacher, to thine own self, true to your knowledge of light ; (2) dare to be true to- the Word of God and let it be your compass through life; (3) dare to challenge tho test of experience, seen in the Christian lives around you. (4) "1 dare yon," said Mr. Brainsby, "to reject social advantage at the price of .spiritual apostacy; not to lower the flag at the behest of the enemies of Christ. Not us some, who sell their spiritual birthright for a mess of pottage. Quit the things that hold you down." Finally, Mr. Brainsby dared them to trust that right is right and right the day must win. There will be a grand thanksgiving service to-night in the Vivian-street Baptist Church at 8 o'clock.
