»' The Wellington Harriers' Club held their informal run on Saturday from Lyall Bay, when a fair number turned out in charge of Vice>eaptain T. flawing' ton, who took the pack along at a steady pace over some good country for about four miles. > Several novices turned out, but there is Bttll room for more. A handicap run in over about 300 yards resulted in U. N. Tarrant just beating T. Farrington for chief honours. Tho opening of the season Is ,hejrt> Saturday. An informal run of .the Brooklyn Horriei's' Club at Worsev Bay on Saturday afternoon was well attended. A fiveminute start was given to the hares, Messrs. Hutton nnd Bfistow. Tho course was from Worscr Bay over - the hill to Miramar on to thq golf links and thence back home, via Seatoun tunnel. Tho run-in was won by tf. Hali, J. Sal' mond being second arid C. WilUs third, ' Afternoon tea was supplied by lady .friends, and musical items wore given by Messrs. U. Harvey and V. Oliver. Tho Mayor (Mr. J. V. Ltiko) will formally open the season next Saturday afternoon. '
