RISK OF FLYING

Mr. Winston Churchill (First Lord of the Admiralty), speaking at the Aero Club, said that the public should realise that in flying the risk was not excessive. Since he -had bqen at the Admiralty more liv l es had been lost in submarines than in the air services. Mr. Churchill predicted that aviation would exercise a potent influence on the military destinies of States, but considered that the Atlantic flight was premature and unduly risky.
