SUBIACO MURDER

(Received March 6, 8.30 a.m.) PERTH, sth March. • Stannard was found not guilty on a charge of murdering Alfred Smith, on the ground of insanity. [Altred Smith, manager for Metter's foundry, at Subiaco, died from shot wounds. Stannard, an employee" at the foundry, was arrested on a charge of attempted murder. It was alleged that trouble existed between him and the manager ; that he visited the manager* office, two revolver shots were heard, and Smith was found .wounded. Smith declated Stannard shot him.]
