Hagues Moutted, a Swiss, was fined £3440 sterling for smuggling gunpowder and phosphorus in a motor-car across the Franco-Swiss frontier. ' Tho motor-cat 1 went abiaae, and accused was severely wounded in endeavouring to throw the contents over a precipice in order to avoid detection.
