OPERATIC SINGER TO TOUR AUSTRALIA

Williamson, has engaged Felicia Lyne, the singer, for an Australian tour.' i.Miss Lyne is an American soprano, about 22 years of age. She was born in Kansas City, and was "discovered" by Oscar Haffimerstein. "Not since Tetrazzini came to London," said tho critics, speaking of her debut in the world's metropolis, "has any singer so captured an opera-loving audience as Misfe Felicia Lyne." The Standard remarked : "Miss Lyne's advent established the etinviction that she is an artist who has inherited Or contracted most of the operatic virtues and none of the vices, and, further, that a star of the first magnitude has appeared in tho operatic sky — a star which in its course is destined to shine with ever-incrasing brightness."]
