TRACK WORK AT WANGANUI (BY TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WANGANUI, This Day. Amongst horses which arrived last night were Labour Day, Composed, Dearest, Stepney, Styx, Distinction, Crown Pear], and Imagination, while Postillion", Moutoa Girl, Nukuatu with others walked in from Fordell this morning. The weather was fine and the tracks in excellent order. Autumnus went six furlongs in 1.20, Masterpiece and Domino a . mile in 1.46, the latter pleasing most. Tiresome and Allegation galloped Bix furlongs in 1.28, Distinction, Eastwind, ahd Moirette taking 1.34. Cheddar went a mile and aquarter at three-quarter pace, Ventura half-a-mile in 51sec, and Jason six furlongs in 1.16. Aruake was too good for Aviatrix over six furlongs. Dearest and Styx went five furlongs in 1.4, Stepney taking 1.4£. Bronze galloped three-quarters of , a mile and was then joined byLockwood and covered another half-a-mile nicely. ' Labour/ Day went twice round at half pace, and Composed did ft similar task. . Muleteer and Royal Patron finished together at the end of seven furlongs going fast. Coromandel covered half-a-mile nicely, Phroso and Denise Orme going six furlongs and finishing strongly. Postillion galloped five furlongs in 1.4£, , and Leonta^ and Princess Moutoa the same distance in 1.7, comfortably. Nukuatu covered five furlongs in 1.4. Moutoa Girl went a mile and a-quarter fast, the last mile taking 1.47^ Serviceable work was registered by Imagination, North East, Austin, Tiwari, Silver Rose, and others. Mahinawa jumped five hurdles fairly well, and Serenity was given a similar task. Master Tupuhi has been scratched for the Cup. '

A general meeting of members of the Otaki Maori Racing Club was held yesterday, when it was decided to increase the stakes for the coming meeting, to be held in June, to £2000, the Cup to be of the value, of £400, while the handicap on the second day will be worth £250:
